Career and Professional Development
Limestone University assists students by offering a Center for Professional Development located in the Dobson Student Center, 3rd Floor. The four-year developmental process begins during the student's first year, with activities designed to help students better understand their work-related values, strengths, interests, and abilities. Opportunities are then provided for career exploration based on the self- assessment. At the junior and senior level, students receive guidance in developing and implementing a comprehensive job search toolkit. Areas of assistance include understanding the current job market, developing personal marketing tools (e.g., resume, cover letter, and references), networking, and sharpening interview skills, along with understanding the graduate school admissions process. These forms of assistance are also available to alumni who need help with work-related transitions later in life.
